Amanda Nelson collected 40,000 pieces of junk mail, folded and bundled them together.

“2012..flow..” and “2012..heart opening..”

tracing and cotton papers, torn and layered,

Both pieces have been selected for the Sofia Paper Art Fest, 2012.

There are 102 artists from 29 countries taking part in this innovative show, which comprises 2D and 3D paper art works unrestricted by technique, style or material.

The Amateras Annual Paper Art Exhibition was established in 2009 to promote the exploration worldwide of paper as an art form.

The exhibition continues until June 2nd in the Art Alley Gallery, Sofia, Bulgaria.

Works in progress. The current state of my drawing board. Probably a couple of dozen works on paper that have been started long ago and been neglected as other work has interfered with their progress. Time to get back into them, but not tonight. Feeling very weary and the head is not right. Need a day or two of rest and all will be good to go.
